While it may seem like we’ve had absolutely nothing going on over the last 4 or 5 months – due to the absence of blog posts – quite the opposite is actually true. We’ve just been so full of activity that we’re behind on posting – like 4 months behind!
Case in point, we took a Winter family vacation back in September and are only just now getting around to editing the pictures so we can share them.
But we had a fantastic time in Illinois with Drew’s parents, his brothers, sister-in-law, and our three nieces. We stayed in a fantastic cabin in the middle of nowhere that afforded us some beautiful morning views.
And we were glad to spend time playing with the cutest nieces on the face of the planet.
Here’s just a glimpse of the cool digs we stayed in. It was wonderful to find a place where we could all stay together.
When we weren’t lounging around and relaxing, we went for a hike in the woods and visited a small winery and some neat local shops.
We also drove up to Bald Knob Cross (situated on the second highest point in the state of Illinois. The guys had some fun turning cartwheels …
But I think Drew won with his backflip. 😉
We took another stop at an apple orchard on the way home. Here’s Emmah, Celiah, and Bellah:
And Jay, Drew, and Tyler:
And now the whole fam!
We were also blessed to visit with Grandma & Grandpa Winter, who came to the cabin for lunch one day. This was the first time they were able to meet me, as well as the younger girls.
