In just a few days, these Supertrampers will be running to support a really awesome ministry here in New Zealand that gives hope to girls who need freedom from life-controlling issues like self-harm, addictions, eating disorders, and sexual abuse. This will be my very first 5K race, and Drew’s first 10K.
For the past few years, we’ve been big supporters of Mercy Ministries, so we jumped at the chance to support the New Zealand sister ministry, A Girl Called Hope. When we were in Auckland the second time, we contacted them and they gave us an awesome tour of the home where the girls come to live and receive counseling as part of the program.
So here’s the deal, it’s our goal to raise $300 for A Girl Called Hope so they can continue offering hope & freedom to these girls without having to rely on government funding (and consequently, control over what they can and can’t do). We’re a third of the way there, but we’d love your help to reach our goal! Here are two ways you can support:
1. Buy prints from our There & Back Again Print Shop. We share profits from Print Shop sales with A Girl Called Hope and the Personal Transformation Centre in Lautoka, Fiji. So you can hang original artwork on your wall (or give it as a gift) knowing you’re making a difference in the life of a girl who needs your help.
2. Donate directly to our fundraising page. If 20 people donated just $10 each, we would reach our fundraising goal.
Thanks so much for any amount you can give. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed in the sidebar of our homepage (or follow us @supertrampers) for updates and results from the race!
