7a – Today Show
We got an early start on Day 3 so we could catch the live broadcast of The Today Show on NBC outside at Rockefeller Plaza. It was great fun to be so close to the behind-the-scenes action!
9a – Breakfast at Yogurt Culture Company
We then discovered a great farm-to-table concept shop near Grand Central Terminal that served yogurt parfaits and frozen yogurt made with milk from grass-fed cows. My favorite breakfast from the trip!
(Sadly, on a future trip to NYC we would discover that they changed their yogurt supplier and we were less than impressed … )
10a – Grand Central Terminal Holiday Fair
Several vendors set up mobile shops in the lobby of Grand Central Terminal. We browsed art and products from dozens of local artists and enjoyed the historic architecture of the famed building.
2p – Lunch at Grand Central Terminal
There is an entire food court below the main level. We ate savory crepes and drank fresh veggie juice to fuel us for the rest of our excursions that day.
3p – Shop at H&M
Probably my favorite clothing store, H&M offered so many sale racks that we were able to find some great new items for our closet.
6:30p – Dinner at The View
At the top of our hotel was a revolving restaurant called The View. The dining room literally spins around slowly, giving you a 360 degree view of New York City as you eat.
